How to connect your own domain
One record at your domain registrar, one button in BrandRafter — and the security certificate is set up for you.

Your own domain is included on every plan. If you already own one, connecting it takes a few minutes of your time and a short wait.
1. Add your domain in BrandRafter
Go to Settings, open the Domain section and type your domain — for example yourbusiness.com. The screen then shows the exact record to add, with the address your site is served from.
2. Add one A record at your registrar
Sign in where you bought the domain and open its DNS settings. Add an A record with the name @ and the value shown on the BrandRafter screen. Some registrars write @ as your domain name, or leave the name blank — all three mean the same thing.
3. www usually needs nothing
If your registrar already has a www record pointing at your domain, leave it alone — it follows the record you just added. If there is no www record, you can add a CNAME for www pointing at your domain, or skip it. A name cannot have both a CNAME and an A record, so if your registrar says the record already exists, edit the existing one.
4. Verify
Back in BrandRafter, press Verify DNS. Changes can take up to 24 hours to reach everyone; if verification fails at first, try again later. Once it passes, the security certificate is issued automatically and your site answers on your own domain.
