Affiliate Terms & Conditions
Last updated 10 August 2026. These terms govern the BrandRafter affiliate program and are accepted when you apply.
1. Who can join
The affiliate program is open to individuals and businesses who apply and are approved by BrandRafter. We review every application by hand and may decline any application without giving a reason. Approval is not automatic and is not a partnership, employment relationship, agency or joint venture — you are an independent party recommending our product.
2. Commission
You earn a percentage of every plan payment we receive from a client you referred: 18% for the first 12 months from that client, and 10% thereafter for as long as they remain a paying client, unless a different rate was agreed with you in writing at approval.
3. How commission is calculated
Commission is calculated on the plan price excluding GST, on the amount the client actually paid after any referral discount. It does not apply to add-ons, product credits, or any charge that is not a subscription plan payment, and there is no commission during a client’s free trial because no payment is made.
4. Tiers, and how your rates are locked
Your tier is based on the number of active clients you have referred OR the monthly revenue those referrals generate — whichever qualifies you for the higher tier. Revenue is calculated from your referrals’ active subscription amounts, before GST, and does not include one-off purchases such as add-ons or credit packs. Tiers are recalculated monthly. A tier change applies to future referrals only: if we change our platform rates, or your tier changes, the new rate applies only to clients you refer afterwards. Clients you have already referred keep the rate they were signed up at — which also means a rate change on our side can never reduce what you earn on your existing referrals.
5. Attribution
A client is attributed to you if they sign up within 30 days of clicking your referral link, or if they enter your referral code at signup. If both apply and they differ, the code they typed takes priority. Where two affiliates could claim the same client, the most recent click wins and a typed code beats any click.
6. Attribution is final
Attribution is final once a client has signed up. Each client can be attributed to at most one affiliate, permanently.
7. Payment and the 30-day hold
Every commission is held for 30 days from the payment it arises from. This is the window in which a payment can be refunded, reversed or charged back; if that happens, the commission is cancelled. After the hold clears, the commission becomes part of your withdrawable balance.
8. Payout minimums
Your first payout requires 3 referred clients who have made a payment and a confirmed balance of at least ₹2,000. Both conditions must be met. After your first payout, the minimum is ₹500. We settle once a month by bank transfer or UPI to the details you provide; there is nothing to request.
9. No clawback after payment
We do not claw back commissions already paid to you if a client later cancels. Commission simply stops with their last payment.
10. Tax
Affiliate commission is income and you are responsible for declaring it. Where your total earnings from BrandRafter in an Indian financial year (1 April to 31 March) exceed ₹5,000, we are required to deduct 10% TDS under Section 194H of the Income Tax Act on the amount above that threshold, and to deposit it against your PAN. We therefore need your PAN before any payout that would take you past the threshold, and a payout will be held until we have it.
11. Affiliates outside India
Affiliates outside India are responsible for their own tax and no Indian withholding applies. International payouts are arranged individually.
12. Your client’s discount
Anyone who signs up through your link or code receives 5% off their first plan payment, applied to the plan price before GST. It is available once per client, on their first payment only, and does not apply to add-ons or product credits. Your commission is calculated on the discounted amount — on what the client actually paid.
13. What you may not do
You may not: refer yourself, your own business, or accounts you control; sign up on a client’s behalf using your own code to obtain the commission; send unsolicited email or messages promoting BrandRafter; bid on “BrandRafter” or close variants in paid search; represent yourself as an employee, agent or official representative of BrandRafter; make claims about our product, pricing or capabilities that are not true; or use our name or branding in a way that suggests we endorse other products or services you offer.
14. How we check referrals
We check every referral against the affiliate’s own email address and sign-up location, and we review unusual patterns — a burst of sign-ups, a book of identical plans, or a cluster of cancellations. A referral that fails these checks earns no commission and grants the client no discount.
15. What you can see
For each client you refer, you can see their business name, their site address, their plan, when they signed up, and what you have earned from them.
16. What you cannot see
You cannot see their personal contact details, their billing information, their invoices, their site content or their enquiries, and we will not provide them. They are our customer; what you are paid for is the introduction. Contacting a referred client about their BrandRafter account, or presenting yourself as able to act on it, is grounds for suspension.
17. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an affiliate account for a breach of these terms, for suspected fraud, or where an affiliate’s promotion damages our reputation. On suspension your referral link stops attracting new referrals and any commission still inside its 30-day hold is placed under review.
18. A confirmed balance is not forfeited
Commission that has already cleared its hold remains payable to you, subject to the payout minimums above, whatever the reason for suspension.
19. Leaving the program
You may leave the program at any time. Commissions confirmed before you leave remain payable; nothing accrues afterwards.
20. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, our commission rates, the payout thresholds or the tier structure. Rate changes apply to referrals made after the change and never retroactively — every referral carries the rates it was created with. We will tell you by email before a material change takes effect.
21. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: hello@brandrafter.com.
